Education is a missing right in northern Syria.

Education is a missing right in northern Syria.

Education faces many challenges and difficulties in the northern regions of Syria despite the efforts which are made to provide it
The educational sector was greatly affected because of the destruction of infrastructure especially schools and this led to a catastrophe which threatens the future of many generations.
Earlier, the United Nations mentioned in a statement on education in conflict zones that " the percentage of Syrian students who haven't joined schools because of the regime's bombing of school reached 39 %.

Destroyed schools and a fragile educational structure

priorities of humanitarian work but war was responsible for the failure of those efforts so that going to school became a risk of lives and a major danger.
This made parents back out of sending their children to school out of fear for their lives , causing frequent waves of displacement in search of appropriate educational opportunities. The closest witness to this is the massacre at the school of Hass village in the southern countryside of Idlib, which killed a group of schoolchildren and caused great panic among people.

Loss of reference and disorganization

Some experts see that the reason for the decline of education in wartime is due to the fact that the schools that were opened and rehabilitated did not rise to the required level in addition to parents' lack of commitment to sending their children to school because of constant shelling , displacement and migration of most teachers and students.
In the same vein , experts emphasize that the disparity in salaries and wages of workers at schools supported by international organizations and of those who work at schools supported by the Free Ministry of Education was an additional reason for this decline. While teachers at schools supported by international organizations earn a salary ranging between 300-400 $ , teachers at schools supported by the Ministry of Education at the interim government earn a salary which doesn't exceed 80$ and perhaps less. At the same time more than 5000 teachers in northern Syria work full voluntarily.

90% of the camps in the north are without schools:

is estimated that the camps in northern Syria lack schools within them , as there are only 175 schools in the camps in northern Syria which are more than 1302 camps while more than 1100 other camps are without schools where students suffer from going to other camps or to neighboring villages and cities to learn.

Hathi Hayati's educational center is a solution to dozens of students

In its pursuit of preserving the right of education for students in northern Syria within an appropriate study environment , Hathi Hayati Organization opened the educational center in Idlib city at the beginning of 2021. The center includes 7 teachers and more than 150 students, most of whom are high school students who dropped out of school, in an attempt to compensate them for the missing stages of their educational life because of the surrounding circumstances.
The education office in the group has expanded the center by opening 5 more classrooms so that the center includes 8 classrooms which can accommodate 200 students from the beginning of the next school year. The local community in northern Syria consider this experience very important to compensate high school students for a lot of information that they missed because of dropping out of school in one of their educational stages.

The path to achieving dreams begins with education:

Everyone has a dream and a goal and aspires to achieve it. Huda was one of the ambitious students at Al-Hayat Educational Center and her dream was to complete secondary school and then start her university journey after the war conditions hindered and deprived her of her right of education which forced her to delay achieving her dream for many years until the activities of the educational center began in northern Syria. At this time Huda was the first one of the dropouts to register at the center. She managed to complete the path she drew to achieve her dreams, surpassed her peers, passed the secondary stage, and began preparing for university education. There are still a lot of dropouts in conflict zones who are waiting for an appropriate opportunity to complete their path which was cut off because of.
